ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Dachshund was developed in Germany to hunt near the dog hunters, like Basset Hound in France. They are descendants of schweisshund Germany, which is a shorter version of the foot. The Dachshund is also angry at the terrier breeds and spaniels, not just to get a certain quality of hunting, but also kind of hard coat of hair and long hair. He is a true hunting dog - says the German Dachs means "badger", another animal with a sturdy body and short bandy legs.
