ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Australian Shepherd breed is not Australian at all, it was developed in the USA by livestock and herders who live in western countries. The Pyrenean Shepherd, was brought to the United States by the Basque, is a clear ancestor. Other herding dogs, such as Smithfield, Collie, Border Collie, and also contributed to the prototype.
