ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Papillons descended from toy spaniels in size, called the Continental Toy Spaniel, is popular with European royalty since the beginning of the last millennium. Exact origin is a mystery ; some argue that their ancestors were descendants of toys from Asia, such as Japan Chin ; others believe that the miniaturization spaniel European descent occurs only by crossing a small dog, without the use of makeup from the Far East.
